There are several sections of the site that users are free to use without registering. As a unregistered user of PhatInvestor, we do not collect any of your personally identifiable information. Our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. These may include your browser related information, IP address, requested URL, referring URL, and timestamp and one or more cookies that identify your browser. We employ reputed third party web beacons to collect general sitewide statistics and serve ads.
You may view all public pages of PhatInvestor without registering. Examples of non-public pages that you may not see include those that a registered member has restricted, including private blog entries, answers and stock ratings.
We allow other companies, called adnetworks, to serve advertisements to PhatInvestor users. Ad networks include third party ad servers, ad agencies, ad technology vendors and research firms. To deliver these ads properly, PhatInvestor may include a web file from these ad networks within pages served by PhatInvestor so the networks may provide anonymized, aggregated auditing, research and reporting for advertisers as well as to target ads to you while you visit other websites.

Registration is not required to use PhatInvestor. If you choose to register to become a PhatInvestor registered member, we require your valid email address and ask you to pick a unique (to PhatInvestor) screenname and a password.
Once a user, you may provide additional information in the Profile section describing your investment experiences and objectives. You can also provide your full name, location and brief textual summary about yourself. Providing additional information beyond what is required at registration is entirely optional, but enables you to better identify yourself and connect with the community
If you choose to provide your full name it will be shared on profile pages and in the invitations you send to your friends/contacts
In order to invite others to connect with you on PhatInvestor, you may have to invite them to become members of PhatInvestor. Any email addresses you enter on PhatInvestor's 'Invite a Friend' Page within each competition will be used only to send your invitation and reminders.
When you create a stock contest the default permission is to share the contest with public and keep it open for other users to join. If you participate in a public contest, your portfolio and profile are also public.
Like most websites, PhatInvestor uses cookies and web log files to track site usage and help manage user sessions. The log files information for registered users contains additional data to identify registered users by their unique id on PhatInvestor. Cookie are used to provide seamless login functionality for users and help them navigate the site during a session. Persistent Cookies are used to provide 'remember me' functionality during the login process.
Children are not eligible to use our service and we ask that minors (under the age of 18) do not submit any personal information to us or use the service.
You understand and agree that PhatInvestor may access, preserve, and disclose your personal information and the contents of your account if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such access preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, or court order, or to protect the rights and property of PhatInvestor, its affiliates or the public.
You have complete control of the information you submit to PhatInvestor. You may at anytime edit or remove your Personally Identifiable Information.
Please note, we reserve the right to transfer your submitted information in the event of a transfer of ownership of PhatInvestor, such as acquisition by or merger with another company. In such an event, PhatInvestor will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
